Progress Strengthening Scouting in the Caribbean

Great news for Scouting in the Caribbean! The World Scout Bureau – Interamerican Scout Centre (WSB-IASC) is making fantastic progress in its mission to support and strengthen National Scout Organizations (NSOs) across the region. The project’s first phase has been a success, bringing together Scout leaders, volunteers, and stakeholders to better understand the unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
Through virtual meetings with 14 NSOs and on-the-ground visits to 5 NSOs, we’ve gained invaluable insights into how to make Scouting even stronger in the Caribbean. A major milestone was the completion of the GSAT 3.0 self-assessment by 10 NSOs, providing a clearer picture of each organization's strengths and areas for development.
Originally planned as an in-person workshop, this assessment was creatively adapted to the National Commissioners Meeting in November, ensuring more voices were heard and resources were used wisely. While some goals are set for the next phase, the foundation for success has already been built! The upcoming steps have been validated, and with strong collaboration between NSOs, the Regional Committee, and WSB-IASC, we are ready to take Scouting in the Caribbean to new heights.
