President Ma received Scout Representatives in Taiwan, ROC.

President Ma received Scout Representatives in Taiwan, ROC. On March 5th, 60 scouts and leaders went to the Presidential Office Building to pay a courtesy call to President Ma Ying-Jeou, who is also the President of the General Association of the Scouts of China in Taiwan. The group was led by the Chairman & Chief Commissioner, Mr. Junq-Tzer Lin. The purpose of the visiting is to celebrate the Scouts’ Day in Taiwan, Republic of China. President Ma encouraged each scout to do a good turn daily to help creating a better world. He also talked about his camping experience when he joined a scout camp in high school. Dr. Chiang, Wei-Ling, who is the Minster of Education, Taiwan, ROC, also joined the visiting in his scout uniform. March 5th is the Scouts’ Day in Taiwan, Republic of China. It is an official holiday announced by the Government for recognizing the contribution of Scouting to the nation.
