Preserving Heritage, Serving the Community

I was motivated by my responsibility as a Scout to serve the community and contribute to the preservation of our cultural and religious heritage. Seeing areas around Chorten Kora, and Yangtse that needed cleaning inspired me to take action rather than simply pass by. I wanted to help create a cleaner environment, care for an important heritage site, and encourage other young people to take responsibility for their community.

The project was carried out by Scouts through a community cleaning and heritage conservation activity at Chorten Kora, and the surrounding Yangtse town area. The scouts worked together to clear overgrown grass, clean toilets, remove moss from stones and walls, and collect litter from public areas. The activities were conducted through teamwork and voluntary service, with the aim of maintaining clean surroundings and caring for an important cultural and religious site.

Through this project, I learned the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and community service. I also developed a deeper appreciation for our cultural heritage and learned that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference.
