Pramuka MAN 2 Banda Aceh and Pramuka Peduli Kwarda Aceh Deliver Usable Clothing and Food to Flooded and Landslide-hit Areas with Cargo Vessel KN Antares

The inspiration behind this project came from the urgent needs reported by residents of Krueng Geukuh, who were facing limited access to proper clothing after recent hardships in the region. As members of Pramuka MAN 2 Banda Aceh and Pramuka Peduli Kwartir Daerah Aceh, the volunteers felt a strong sense of responsibility to extend help. The spirit of solidarity, combined with Pramuka’s commitment to humanity and service, motivated the team to initiate a clothing distribution effort that could directly support affected families.

The project was implemented in Banda Aceh. The donation collection and packaging were conducted at MAN 2 Banda Aceh, where volunteers sorted and prepared the clothing. On Friday, December 5, 2025, a total of 7 kodi of clothing for adults and children were transported to Ulee Lheue Port and loaded onto the KN Antares. The execution involved coordination between Pramuka MAN 2 Banda Aceh and Pramuka Peduli Kwarda Aceh, ensuring every item was documented and securely delivered to be distributed to residents in Krueng Geukuh.

The project had a meaningful impact on both the community and the volunteers. For the people of Krueng Geukuh, the clothing provided immediate relief and helped meet essential daily needs. The donation offered comfort and hope to families recovering from difficult conditions. For the Pramuka members involved, the project strengthened values such as empathy, teamwork, and civic responsibility. It reinforced their understanding of the positive change youth can bring through compassion-driven actions. The initiative also highlighted Pramuka’s ongoing dedication to community service and humanitarian efforts.

Implementing this project provided valuable lessons in coordination, communication, and logistical planning. Volunteers learned how crucial it is to sort and categorize donated items accurately to ensure the right distribution. The experience also emphasized the importance of time management and stronger collaboration between different teams. To improve future projects, the organizers intend to establish earlier collection periods, involve more community partners, and prepare a more structured distribution plan to make the aid delivery process faster and more efficient.
