Pop Bolton 2013 Service Project

Pop Bolton is an annual competition for Rovers in Gauteng, South Africa. As part of the competition this year, one of the bases involved the painting of one of the houses at Kids' Haven, an NGO who work with street children in Benoni. Starlight is a house that accomodates approximately 30 children. Phoenix Rover Crew raised funds for brushes, drop cloths and rollers, while paint was provided by a third party donor. All of the teams involved in Pop Bolton spent two hours each painting the walls, door and window frames in the house, and the brushes and other equipment were donated to Kids' Haven to assist with ongoing maintenance in the houses.
