Pontianak Scouts Sharing Suhoor
Ramadan is one of the special months for Muslims worldwide, where they observe fasting. One interesting aspect is suhoor, which is eating and drinking before the Fajr prayer call. However, sometimes many people are already active before suhoor. This also becomes an agenda to share suhoor meals with those who are active in the early hours before dawn.
Prior to the distribution, a briefing regarding the locations and targets of the distribution was conducted, followed by the packaging of the food and guidance from the supervisor regarding the activity. Subsequently, the distribution took place at four predetermined locations. The targets of this activity are early-morning traders, scavengers, homeless individuals, and parking attendants who are still active.
This activity is expected to help those in need and also teach the scouts to continue doing good deeds as a form of practicing the scout oath and law.
