Plastic waste cleanup drive onWorld enviroment day
The main objective of this project was to improving livelihoods of urban poor communities through cleaning plastic waste around our locality.
This project was a joint initiative of the UNDP and Dhaka North City Corporation. On the occasion of "World Enviroment Day-2022", we scouts joined UNDP on cleaning the plastic wastage scattered around the locality of Mohakhali.
Through this project, The Mohakhali area was made plastic free by cleaning plastic waste in the area. The people living around the area were also made aware about the harmside of Plastic and thus motivate them on redcing plastic usage in their daily life.
From this project, I got to learn that people are still unconscious about the reckless usage of Plastic products. They throw plastic wastage scattered around their houses, fields, roadsides etc. By this project they were made aware of this fact.
