Plastic Tide Turners: saving the dam

Our first motivation was at a camping that had Scout's from all over the state. There we met in one of the activities a scout leader that presented to us the three new bages (Scout's go solar, champions for nature, and tide turners plastic). So we set as a misson for us to do every one of them and after that we started to look around our daily lives and noticed that there was a lot of trash neer the dam of our city.

So the project we did was: we walked up the streets that leads to this dam, catching plastic that could go to the dam with the rain. In this processe we caught over 600L of trash, and most importantly, we showed a good example for the people passing through there.
It's hard to tell how many people this project benefited because it was a prevention type of project, the dam in question is the water source of 65% of the city and if nothing is done about this, all this pollution over and over could be prejudicial for approximately 156 thousand people.
I think the main thing we noticed about this project is that it can't change much on its on,but it's a project to inspire others, a project that if done by many can change the world to a better place.
