Planting Trees For Future Generation

June 2nd, 2022 was observed as social forestry day with the theme 'Planting Trees For Future Generation." Global Warming is an international issues which has lots of negative influence on humans, animals, plants and marine animals. Simple and easy way to combat the global warming is by planting trees which absorbs the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

The project was implemented in Bhutan at Martshala Middle School. We observed Social Forestry Day as a whole school approach where awareness program on planting trees were done and then we planted around 300 tree saplings.

It not only benefits students and staffs residing inside the school but it also benefits the whole community and its people. By planting trees we are able to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and reducing the temperature. And its a source of fresh air and water. By planting trees we are also able to reduce soil erosion and landslides.

First and foremost we learned about the responsibility by caring the plants, learned how to compromise with each other, gained leadership skills, and developed self confidence. We can make it even better by involving more numbers of people and through more awareness program.
