Planting trees and saving environment
As Climate Change is currently a big issue in the world i wanted to ensure my participation in changing the world. Climate change occurs due to deforestation, burning coals and fossil fuels, emitting too much carbon dioxide and other green house gases such as METHANE, HCFCs ,HFCs and nitrous oxide causing the Ozone layer to break and thus the ultra violet rays of sun enters into the Earth. To achieve SDGs everyone has to come forward and i am doing my part by planting trees in my environment.
I studied about reforestation and it's advantages the day beforehand. I studied about tree plantation and how to sow seeds .I also learnt how trees help us to fight against climate change and learnt that planting trees is a process of transplanting tree seedlings ,which is generally for forestry, land reclamation ,landscaping purposes .I successfully bought many important trees from the shop and was able to plant about 25 plants and i gained so much knowledge about them.
Trees contribute much to the environment over long periods of time by providing oxygen ,improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil and supporting wildlife .During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe. Reforestation can result in the successful regeneration of a deforested area and trees remove CO2 from the atmosphere and provide us with fruits ,flowers and wood and they also keep the environment cold.
A group of people work for and enjoy the benefits of any development are partners. They have ownership in the development when they perform these duties and responsibilities perfectly. As a scout I have learnt to ensure my participation to achieve SDG 15,13 and help people fight against global warming and climate change. I figured out tree plantation is the first stepping stone for that.
