Planting seedlings in a public square

To materialize the knowledge regarding sustainability and biodiversity, we encourage, through contact with nature, its preservation and development.
This activity took place at Friedrich Alencastro Törben Square, located in the city of Porto Alegre - RS. We planted 40 seedlings of flowers, succulents, and foliage on the public sidewalk, using seedlings donated by some of the wolf's parents, shovels that are camping equipment from the groups, and also a watering can that was lent by an old wolf. We got water for the watering through donations from the neighbors of the square where we did the activity.
Hard to say but the beginning was around 50 people but each person with the learning obtained has the potential to reach many more. The main impact was on the young people of our community who started to have a true notion of sustainable practices and the beneficial consequences that they can bring, but by impacting the young people consequently impacts those around them and where we perform as for example the improvement of the environment of public conviviality as the squares that we perform.
We were able to show through a good preservation and planting practice that the terrestrial nature causes us a direct impact in our daily lives and we can always take basic care for its preservation. As for improvement, it is always valid to evaluate what we can do more and on a larger scale in future projects.
