Planting and Transplanting 500 Saplings.

I was inspired by the urgent need to combat environmental degradation in my community. Tree planting is a simple yet powerful way to contribute to climate action and biodiversity. As a Scout, I believe in leaving the world better than we found it, and this was a step toward that.
The project was carried out in three stages: planning, sourcing saplings, and planting/transplanting. I coordinated with local nurseries, selected suitable planting locations, and mobilized volunteers. We prepared the soil, planted the saplings, watered them, and ensured they were properly spaced. Some plants were transplanted from overcrowded or threatened spots to more suitable areas for healthy growth.
This project taught me the practical challenges and rewards of environmental work. I learned about plant care, teamwork, and how to mobilize local support for a good cause. I also saw firsthand how community engagement is key to long-term environmental impact.
