Peace, security, a future: basic needs that people in the midst of violent conflict desperately want and seek. However, building back trust, livelihoods, institutions and relationships is a complex and long-term endeavours, full of steps forward and back. This is the task of peacebuilding. And we can’t afford not to do it.  As messengers of peace it becomes our duty to create an atmosphere of peace and raise awarenss as much as possible. Raising awareness on peace is a must on every celebration. There are many people suffering and asking for global peace and as messengers of peace we need to act up and involve or plan activities which promotes peace for one and all. Lautoka Scouters Council once again this year involved its volunteers and some non- scouts in a peace walk whereby the group enjoyed the lovely environment; appreciating the gods gift and at the same time raising awareness.
