PCEA Mama Ngina Primary School Green-drive
My inspiration for this tree planting project was two-fold: addressing Kenya's environmental challenges and enhancing existing green spaces. Even though PCEA Mama Ngina Primary School was already pleasant, I saw an opportunity to make it even more vibrant and resilient. I was driven by the tangible benefits trees offer and motivated by directly contributing to the students' immediate surroundings and the planet's future, creating a lasting impact.
I primarily executed the tree planting project at PCEA Mama Ngina Primary School through direct involvement and coordination. I helped organize the saplings and necessary tools, then worked alongside the students and volunteers, demonstrating and supervising the actual planting. It was a very hands-on process to ensure each tree was properly established for a greener school environment.
This project truly highlighted the immense power of people coming together for a shared environmental goal. Engaging the students, especially the enthusiastic pupil scouts, in the tree planting was vital. Their active participation reinforced that collective action, particularly involving youth, is key to lasting positive change.
