PATCOMROCI 01: INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP 2022
Coastal Cleanup is a way of showing our care to our environment especially to the bodies of water that surrounds us that has a lot of marine species that has a unique role to the community and to the people, and preserving those living organisms is one of my motivation on why I/we participated on the international activities, that aims on promoting a clean water for both human and living organisms below water.
The International Coastal Clean Up of Pateros Community Rover Circle No. 01(PATCOMROCI 01) was successfully executed in Panday Creek through the collaboration with the Barangay Sta. Ana, and selected Senior Scouts, they were able to make the project possible. They collect different types of plastics that were seen floating in the river, and also assure that the water will flow continuously.
The activities benefited the nearby households that consisted of more than three hundred individuals including the students of Paulina Manalo Elementary School which is located near to the Panday Creek. As to the residents, they were able to experience another ambiance of the typical view of the river that they can see through the windows of their home and were able to give a renewed surroundings.
One of the learnings that we were able to acquired is that in order for us go to experience a better world we shall start on making our river more clean and presentable by simply means of being responsible on our plastic residuals and shall stop on throwing the non-biodegradable materials to the river.
