Pacific Animal Shelter and Hospitality Project

Pacific Animal Shelter and Hospitality Project

The PASH (Pacific Animal Shelter and Hospital) is located in Legalega, Nadi. It came into operation in February, 2019.  PASH had had a number of break-ins ever since it commenced, therefore it had approached Nadi Rotaract to help in renovating the caretakers house so that it can bring in a live-in caretaker that would secure the PASH properties, including the animals. Thus, it became the  Rotaract Club of Nadi’s major project and through the major sponsors the club was able to finish this project.  The Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset supported this project with $700 and Rotary Club of Lautoka assisted with $464.

The club started renovating the house in the last week of August (31/08/19) and it continued till November (16/11/19). The members gathered on Saturdays to do the project. Jenny Kirchner, an interior designer volunteered with the club in doing the project and also provided all the tools needed for this project. Jenny and the club had committed 12 Saturdays for this major project. On 23rd of November, 2019, the club handed over the refinished house to the PASH. Now the caretaker has moved in and our cute fur babies are living peacefully.
