"OUR WASTE , OUR RESPONSIBILITY"♡
We all know overflowing waste causes air pollution and respiratory diseases. One of the outcomes of overflowing garbage is air pollution, which causes various respiratory diseases and other adverse health effects as contaminants are absorbed from lungs into other parts of the body. So knowing this made me think more about our environment and the waste thrown there .
Waste was over flowing in the surrounding of motithang.
We the scouts and tarayana club members came together to create a cleaning campaign on the surroundings of Mothithang .
We brought sacks and gloves to collect the wastes and after we collected the waste and we disposed the waste properly.
It benefited Over 1000 locals and the animals living around motithang area. The locals became more aware of being responsible of their waste and of where they are dumping it .Students also started managing their own waste but still the waste are being produced but we the scouts are trying our best to keep the environment clean .
Waste management reduces the effect of waste on the environment, health, and so on. It can also help reuse or recycle resources, such as; paper, cans, glass, and so on.Reducing, reusing and recycling your waste is important for the environment, but it can also be profitable. It decreases the amount of waste for disposal, saves space in landfills, and conserves natural resources. Finally, waste management is also important for public health.
