Our Earth our responsibility

The main aim of this program was to educate the public about proper waste management and create greater awareness about the importance of keeping our environment clean and healthy. In addition to raising awareness among the community, another important objective of the program was to educate my Nachung Scouts about responsible waste management, proper waste segregation, and the importance of reducing plastic pollution. I wanted the scouts to understand that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility and that small actions taken by individuals can contribute to a cleaner and healthier community.

A total of 92 scouts and 13 staff members actively participated in the program. We gathered at the school at around 7:00 a.m. and prepared ourselves for the day's activities. After organizing the necessary materials and dividing the participants into different groups, we began the cleaning activities at around 8:00 a.m. We worked together to collect and properly dispose of waste from the surrounding areas. The scouts showed great enthusiasm and cooperation throughout the activity, and the staff members also provided guidance and support whenever needed.

The cleaning activities continued until around 2:00 p.m. During this time, the participants worked with commitment and teamwork to make the area cleaner and more pleasant. The activity not only helped improve the cleanliness of the surroundings but also provided the scouts with a practical learning experience. They were able to understand the importance of proper waste disposal through direct participation rather than learning about it only through discussions.

Refreshments for the participating scouts were kindly sponsored by different stakeholders, which helped keep the participants motivated and energized throughout the program. Their support also demonstrated the importance of cooperation between schools, communities, and other stakeholders in addressing environmental issues.

Overall, the program was successfully carried out with active participation from both the scouts and staff. It was a meaningful experience that helped raise awareness about waste management, encouraged responsible environmental practices, and strengthened the spirit of teamwork and community service among the scouts. I believe the program created a positive impact by encouraging the participants to become more responsible in managing waste and inspiring them to share what they learned with others in their community.

The project was mainly held with a goal to: 1: keep the society clean 2: educate young ones about the effects of waste in the environment 3: to set an example to the society

Not all the people are responsible of their waste.
