
Open Khuru Tournament
I coordinated and conducted "One day (which required one more days to prepare for the actual day) Open Khuru tournament" for Multi Sectoral Task Force (MSTF) and Community Based Support System (CBSS) of Tsirang Dzongkhag on 18.02.2018 at Damphu Central School, Tsirang. This program was organized to commemorate the 38th Birth Anniversary of our Beloved Druk Gyalpo and to raise funds to combat health and other social issues particularly in relation to women and children in Tsirang Dzongkhag. This program was also objectively organized to enhance community vitality and to promote culture and traidition of Bhutan.
31 teams (155 players) participated during this first ever Dzongkhag level Khuru tournament wherein Puencha nga (RBP team) took away first prize; Gosaling Gewog begged second position while Nyamchhung nga (RBP team) stood third position. Further, highest karey and highest Dobje was also awarded to two players from among the three rounds of league.
Therefore, I and my team take this platform to earnestly thank Damphu Central School' Principal and other employees alike for their unwavering supports rendered to us by providing the playground, providing mess at subsidized rates, and student volunteers for two consecutive days either to prepare for the day or as lay-judge in the games palyed;
Mendrelgang Central Schools' Principal for arranging the targets and rendering professional supports through varied ways and means;
All 155 players from 31 teams for the most peaceful game by not creating any disputes and for portraying a paramount agreement to the byelaw of the game and the coordinators alike ;
And my mentors Dasho Dzongda and Dzongrab; Team mates and others who helped in the successful conduct of this program.
