Online First Aid Course through google meeting
As my project is first aid, it may help people to know more about the skill in first aid such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid for Bleeding, First Aid for Choking and other important skills. . First Aid skills can be applied in the home, the workplace or in public locations, therefore the more First Aid certified people there are in a community the safer that community becomes. Thus, the mortality rate in my country can be decreased.
Due to the pandemic covid-19, the first aid course is organised online through the google meeting app. As it is organised online, I have explained all the important parts of the first aid skills to the participants. After the explanation, there is a question and answer section for the participants to let them more understand the first aid skills. There are also slides provided to the participants to let them know more about the first aid skills.
First Aid training gives them the confidence to step in to help when an emergency occurs. The actions they take by responding straight away, could save a life or prevent a person from suffering a permanent disability. The participants are able to identify potential hazards. Knowledge of first aid promotes a healthy, secure and safer environment, and instils confidence among people, their families, their colleagues and associates. I think most of the participants are benefited from this project.
As this is the first time I implement the project, there are many things that I learn from this project such as communication skills, skills in doing the slides and time management. Practice making perfect. Thus I think I will organise more projects to train myself in communication skills. I will also train myself in the skills of designing the slides.
