One step towards Devotees.

Odisha is the land of Festivals. We celebrate a lot of festivals and Ashokasthami is one of them. Ashokasthami i.e. Car Festival of Lord Lingaraj. Every year as per the climate, we made the arrangments for the devotees. This year also Rovers of Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides rendered their services in the Ashokasthami on Dtd. 29.03.2023.

100 nos. of Rovers from different parts of Odisha joined this service camp. After arrival, they were divided into groups and allotted different duties. The team proceeded to the venue by bus with Stretcher, Water Sprayer, Tent, Dustbin, etc. They performed their duties such as Distribution of Curd Water, Cleaning the premises and outside, controlling the rush, carrying out the casualty, water sprinkling on devotees, etc. successfully and were very much appreciated by the public.

The performance of Rovers was sufficient to impress the public. Moreover, the Addl. District Magistrate of Bhubaneswar joined us after being witnessed the service. The service was highlighted by the media which inspired us to do such work in the future.

We learned that customs and rituals have great effect on us as it gives opportunity to exchange our thoughts, to share our feelings. And to render service on such occasions doesn't only give mental satisfaction but also keeps us close to the public.
