Earth hour was observed at home by turning off all non essential electric lights as a symbol of commitment to the planet. I encouraged and requested Scouts, Guides, Rover Scouts and Rangers of my unit as well as neighbours and even contacted all my relatives through phone to turn off all non essential electric lights for one hour.
