Observation of VAN MAHOTSAV - 2024
Van Mahothsav is an annual one-week tree-planting festival in India which is celebrated in the first week of July. It is an event celebrated by the Indian community throughout the world with the central theme of planting trees. Van Mahotsav is an important occasion to raise awareness about the benefits of trees and to encourage people to become more active in environmental conservation efforts so that we can help protect the environment, and promote human well-being.
After taking the necessary permission from our district officials we organised various activities to observe the Van Mahotsav- 2024 including a Poster making competition, an Awareness Campaign, a Sapling plantation drive and a Street Play with the theme “EACH ONE– PLANT ONE” will be organized on 4TH, 5TH , 6TH and 7TH of July respectively for observing the occasion of Van Mahotsav and spreading awareness on the importance of greenery around us
We learnt about the need to take action to promote concerns regarding the nature as the harm has reached an alarming rate. We all about the importance of trees in our lives and yet because of our actions keep on harming the nature and biodiversity around us. So now is the time to correct our actions before it is too late. Through this initiative we were not only able to educate others but also ourselves in the process.
