Northam Cub Scouts White Six Messengers of Peace Project
Northam Cub Pack are doing their Messengers of Peace badge this term. Each Six group has come up with their own project that the have agreed to do to help their community over the next 4 weeks. I will detail each project so that you know what each Six has decided to do, and so that we can help them to achieve their project.
White Six (Liam, Thomas and Kassidy)
Activity-Donate play equipment to St Josephs Primary School Northam for the new sand pit as requested in school newsletters (from Term 3 Week 5 to Term 3 Week 10). The Cub Scouts asked parents, family and friends for donations, and some bought sand toys with their own money, and they donated various sand toys and recycled containers suitable for sand play to the school on 29 November 2018:
Messengers of Peace-Cub Scout
Cub Scouts do good turns and help others because it is part of the Scout Promise and Law. It is also because it is nice to help others and to make a difference, even if it is only a small action. Whenever we are kind to people we send a message of love and peace, making a difference to the recipients and also ourselves. It just feels good.
Requirements:
• Learn about the Messengers of Peace initiative in a Scout meeting or online.
• Participate in a Messengers of Peace community engagement activity organised in your Six.
• Share your actions online with the help of an adult at scout.org
