A New Era is Coming - Workshop Training of Trainers for Scouts of the World Award (ToT SWA) 2019

6-8 Dec 2019: The first workshop Training for Trainers for Scouts of the World Award was organized by Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia (PPM), located at the PPM National Headquarters, B-P House in Kuala Lumpur. This workshop marked the beginning of the Scouts of the World Award (SWA) Malaysia. Previously, the teams that wanted to complete SWA would go in blind without any proper procedure and guidelines, with little reference and also a little number of trained leaders. Those hard times would come to pass once PPM established the new team that would help lead the way to the accomplishments of SWA for upcoming teams.

The workshop was attended by 16 representatives from 11 different states throughout Malaysia with 12 young trainers and helpers that would later become the foundation for the establishment of Malaysia Scouts of the World Award Committee. All the state representatives would later come back to their states to become the state trainer and leader for any teams from the states that want to take up the challenge for the SWA.  PPM believed that with the proper procedure, clear documentation and trained leader at the grassroot level, Malaysia could see the increase in number of awardees soon. What PPM needed is the assistance and support from leadership line at the state and grassroot level. And a good thing about this workshop is 95% trainers of this workshop are young people.

In this workshop, I uphold the position for multimedia and publisity where I would designs the banners, posters and other program kits, became the photographer and videographer throughout the whole program. This position is necessary as it would help the process of proper documentation to be used as reference for the next event.
