"Give what you can, take what you need." The National Eagle Scouts Association of the Philippines Jose Protacio Rizal Chapter 2 and Dimasalang Outfit No. 1 conducted their Community Pantry held on May 1, 2021, 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN (PST), at San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines. This service project is a Messengers of Peace Initiative led by two organizations inspired by others around the country with the same objective of supporting our fellowmen who are still greatly affected by the pandemic. It's different from a relief operation because people can get essential goods based on their needs only. Besides, people who are privilege enough can donate goods to contribute to the pantry. We gathered in-kind and monetary donations to set up the pantry. Thus, we were able to raise an amount of PHP 6,300 from April 25 to April 30. The organization selects the community of San Mateo, Rizal to be the recipient of the service project. Fortunately, over a hundred beneficiaries were given the opportunity to get from our Community Pantry. They were able to get vegetables, uncooked rice, canned goods, noodles, and eggs. The smiles on their faces were irreplaceable, and they are truly thankful enough someone lends a hand for them during this emerging health crisis. No help is too small. Together, we could end hunger amidst the pandemic.
