Turkish scouts always responded on Nationwide Natural disasters since Early Thirties. One of the Catastrophies happen on 17 August 199 when North West of Turkey hit with a Tremendous earthquake. Thousands people died. Now all area built up again and great infrastructure done. Since Local Municipality of Gölcük sponsors a remembrance event at 0300 AM on 17 August and Scouts participate to this event. A camp in Action since 2009 with training activities on Awareness and response about Natural disasters while The Scouting and Guiding keeps a veryefficient Disaster Response and Search and Rescue Team   Türkiye izcileri otuzlardanberi doğal afetlere anında müdahele etmişlerdir. Bu afetlerin en büyüklerinden birisini 17 Ağustos 1999 sabahı Kuzey batı Anaddolu Merkezi İzmir Körfezi olan bir depremle yaşası B,nlerce insane öldü Geçen yıllar içinde yaralar sarıldı. Alt yapı yenilendi.
