National Peace Walkathon

The scout Association of Zimbabwe hosted a Peace Walkathon where a distance of 100km was covered involving a total number of 230 participants during official opening and 150 during the walk. The main agenda of the activity was to raise awareness on sustainable environment actions (Tree planting) ,promoting a culture of respecting difference (Dialogue) and reaching out to marginal communities. Activities conducted included Environmental Campaigns, Promotion of Scout programmes Dialogue,WSEP,SWA, SGS and globalisation of MoP. The event was planned by SAZ in collaboration with EMA (environment), ZUNA (SDGs), THH (support to children in difficult situations), Young Life and NJCA (Junoir parliament). This all helped to increase social impact in the community of Mash Eash.
