Responding to the Call to observe Earth Hour 2014, the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides, widely propagated the event, through a poster campaign in all Educational and Governmental Institutions, creating awareness about the importance of the event and a concern towards the planet. Education institutions organised talks in their assemblies and Scouts took their personal lead in the action. Altogether 50 schools joined us in the celebration and about 2800 Scouts and Guides were involved. At the State Headquarters, an event Music under the Stars #earthhour, was organised during the Earth Hour, where music were played at the same time star gazing was enjoyed by all. 34 people attended.
