From MOTTAINAI to ARIGATO! Food Drive Kawasaki.
When our team, which member belong to Kawasaki Venture 49, 54 Troop joint project, was thinking about challenging the Environmental Protection Skill Badge, our Venture leader introduced us to such an activity (Foods Drive Project) and decided to try it.
5 Venture scouts took an action called “Foods Drive” to help people who suffers from lack of food in Japan.
We aimed to participate in SDGs by reducing food loss. （As a group project, we collected foods which still had more than one month of expiry date in a small scout bazaar which is our troop event. ）
On the day, we successfully filled two boxes full and got over 8000 yen of donation.
Probably, over 100 people will get some food from this result.
Even in Japan, we realized that there are people who are having trouble even with their daily meals, and at the same time, we realized that there is a lot of loss of our food.
