MOP PEACE NETWORKING WORKSHOP – PHASE 2 UNIT WORKSHOP - LAUTOKA

MOP PEACE NETWORKING WORKSHOP – PHASE 2 UNIT WORKSHOP - LAUTOKA

The National MoP Team had it 3rd MoP Phase II Coordinators Training Course at Qalitu Primary School from 28th June to 30th June with a total of 95 participants from Ba, Lautoka and Nadi. This was due to the fact that after having our analysis of the timeframe from the last workshop in 2017, we have discovered that only a handful of scout.org users regularly upload projects and majority of our scout leaders are not able to load projects in the scout.org although they do so many MoP projects and community service in different geographical locations around Fiji. This is because of the inadequate knowledge of scout.org and the lack of online ICT facilities to use the scout.org website. As such, our MoP Team organised this 3 day Unit Workshop where our main target was to teach the basics of MoP modules and how to create and load projects in the scout.org.

Likewise, during this weekend workshop, we had leader training that included running the MoP modules with the 95 participants and raising the awareness of the initiatives of MoP in Fiji at the same time. This also accomplished our target of reaching to communities and developing Community based scouting in Fiji. So basically, we targeted the scout leaders into using scout.org and at the same time targeting non-scouts to join scouting in Fiji.
