MoP Coordinators Training cum Team India Gathering

To Introduce BWF & Strengthen Messengers of Peace Initiative at the State Level and to educate the Leaders to take the initiative to the grass root level. The National Headquarters with the support of WOSM/APR Conducted the Messengers of Peace Team India Gathering Phase III at National Headquarters from 26 - 30 Nov 2018. The Gathering was attended by 45 Leaders from 24 State Association of Bharat Scouts and Guides.

Shri Shree Prassanna Srivastava, Director, Development Support and Finance, WOSM/APR Region was the Director & Resource Person for the event. Mr. Amar Chettri, deputy Director, NHQ and Mr. Madhusudan A S , Betterworld Unit Member WOSM,Mr. Pankaj Gupta, Himachal Pradesh worked as Resource Person.

he participants were integrated during the first session, the personal expectations of participants were collected and gathering objectives were discussed.

Formal sessions covering the concept of Better World Frame Work , Messengers of Peace, Registering in the WOSM web site, uploading the activities/ projects/ success story in the web site. State Presentations and Flagship Projects were presented. Organizing the orientation for young people on MoP, planning of activities for peace initiatives etc. were conducted during the course of the Gathering. An opportunity to interact with young people and initiate them to the Messengers of Peace initiative was undertaken thru a field visit to GAdpuri, A total of 320 Students including Scouts and Guides were oriented and 164 new members were registered in the WOSM website. The Role of Coordinators for Messengers of Peace was discussed and finalized. The workshop concluded with the action plans and evaluation.

The team under the Guidance of Mr. Krishnaswamy R, MoP NSO Coordinator INDIA, and made tireless efforts to get things done in time for effective conduct of the gathering.
