Mission: Bahadurpur 2015

Just like every other year, we arranged a group camp for the cubs and scouts of my scout group. This camp is held once a year where everyone can participate and learn more about scouting and enjoy camping life. The main goal of this project was to get everyone together for 5 days to have a fun and educative program.
This camp was held in the rover training center in Bahadurpur, Gazipur. To arrange this camp, there was an extensive team of around 25 leaders and rovers. I personally worked in the program planning sector for the cubs.
The impact of this project was moderately big as 250 people came together in the same place. These kids were able to take the skills they learnt in the camp and implement it in their own lives and the lives of their families.
The main learning from the camp was how scouting can bring together so many people from so many backgrounds. The participants got the change to interact with each other and work as a team. Leadership qualities have been greatly increased. The participants also learnt many scouting skills like semaphore, coding, knotting, first aid and practical skills like cooking.
