The Boy Scout of the Philippines, Tacloban City Council, recently conducted the Messengers of Peace (MoP) Roadshow held at San Jose Central School Tacloban City. It was participated by 80 Senior and Rover scouts from different schools in Tacloban City as well as Senior scouts of Samar Council. The Scouts enjoyed numerous activities, ice breakers, and tasks given to them by the Facilitators. Also they gained new knowledge through the lectures spearheaded by the Project Officer, Rover Scout Don Nikko Lemuel S. Octaviano. They seemed to be participative and attentive to the discussions and tasks given to them. They were engaged to different exercises and tasks, which utilized the scouts’ ability to determine a specific issue or problem that they can see in the society, and construct a Project Proposal about the issues that they notice within the community. The Earth Hour 2019 was also celebrated and participated by the scouts during the activity. The facilitators formed the word “TACLOBAN CITY COUNCIL JOINS EARTH HOUR 2019” with the use of 237 candles.
