Messengers of Peace Local Coordinators Workshop
The Messengers of Peace Local Coordinators Workshop was organized to enhance the capabilities of Young People and Adults involved in delivering the Messengers of Peace Programme throughout the country.
The Workshop was conducted in the Training Room of the National Headquarters of the Scout Association of Maldives. Young People who have completed the Messengers of Peace Local Coordinators Workshop previously were involved in planning and execution of the workshop. They were involved from administration to facilitation.
The Maldives is an Island national composed of around 200 inhabited islands which are divided into 20 administrative zones. Participants from all these zones participated in the Workshop. 45 people were the direct beneficiaries of the project however, in the long run it is expected that these participants will be further engaging with their local communities to boost MoP programme in their islands and atolls.
The most challenging aspect of the workshop was including both physical and virtual participants. However, by the end of 2 days we have learnt how to integrate both mediums effectively in the workshop to ensure maximum participation.
