We had several programs related to sustainability, local food production, and how each of us can make an impact to help our environment. As part of this program, we undertook a service project to help a local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. We spent the day on the farm and helped to weed and prepare their garden beds for winter. We also learned a lot about various organic farming methods and life on a small family farm.
