Messengers of Peace Build-Up 2 in Fiji

The declining count of Messengers of Peace leaders and the promotion of MOP became a significant concern. Fiji initially made a strong start in this program, and as a dedicated scout and advocate for Messengers of Peace, I am truly determined to rejuvenate this program once more.

1. Assessment -on number of leaders in each district. 2. Formation of MOP training team & Core team with clear objectives. 3. Training and Capacity Building: Organize training sessions for both existing MOP leaders and new recruits. Ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to effectively promote peace and engage with the community.

More than 20000 people benefitted form this project and it had a great impact in the different scouting districts as new leaders were trained and more peace activities were carried out.

Community Engagement Lesson: Active community involvement is key to project success. Insight: Engaging community members in project planning and decision-making fosters ownership and sustainability. Adaptability Lesson: Flexibility is essential when dealing with unforeseen challenges. Insight: Being prepared to adapt project strategies in response to changing circumstances ensures resilience.
