Messengers of Peace and JOTA-JOTI debut at the 3-day School-based Camp of QNHS

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines supports the international event, 57th Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) and 18th Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) on 18-19 October 2014, pursuant to Circular No. 27/2014 dated June 2014. This is an annual event connects Scouts and Guides all over the world make contacts with each other by means of amateur radio or using computers over the internet. Bani District, Pangasinan-San Carlos City Council, BSP had conducted the JOTA-JOTI weekend through the IRC (Internet Relayed Chat) in the JOTI event. It was one of the activities conducted at Quinaoayanan National High School, school-based camp. The 2014 Council JOTI Coordinator for the station is Mr. Neilbrien A. Pamo. Modules of the camp as follows: Advanced Knots and Lashings, Messengers of Peace Initiatives and Go Green Program. The school-based camp and the JOTI event was participated by 28 Senior Scouts and 7 adult leaders who serve as speakers and facilitators. Scouts enjoyed chatting with other scouts from different countries through the IRC and exchanging/swapping their JamPuz JID code. The adults and scouts had gathered 86 JID codes from scouts around the world; and able to complete almost of the jamboree puzzles. Other modules in the camp are: advance knots, lashings, fire building and playing traditional filipino games.
