" Messenger of Peace Initiative for the less privileged"

Scouting with special needs. Children with ages ranging from 15-17 were given the opportunity to experience scouting in their vocational training school in eastern Bhutan. 10 rovers of sherubtse college, Trashigang took the initiative to spread the message of peace. The rovers introduced scouting and its fundamental principles for the kids and about the messenger of peace global initiative. The rovers took two hour sessions everyday for two weeks to covers all basic scout fundamental principles and took the six modules of MoP. Children were engaged in all activities and fun events to enable them to experience scouting at its best. The children in the school are learning how to preserve and promote traditional painting, handicraft, tailoring, weaving and basketmaking. The Bhutan Scouts Association would be coordinating with the rovers to further strengthening the rovering program at the college next spring to encourage community development projects in the eastern part of Bhutan.
