Mensural hygiene and it’s importance.

To celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day in 2021 with the global theme of 'We need to step up action and investment in menstrual health and hygiene now’. My motivation was form the need to help the woman in our society and community come forward to share their experiences with mensuration. Also to help them not feel embarrassed with some thing that is normal in everyday life and can ask anyone for help without being nervous.
We had gather pad donation form each class in the school and had raised money for the investment of pads.We raised awareness to the students and people around our school. We distributed the pad to donate to the Red Dot Bhutan campaign, and gave awareness to everyone how to properly dispose sanitary pad and how to maintain mensural hygiene. We also help break mainstream taboo which prevented woman form sharing their problems. We help overcome their fear of periods.
More than a thousand people in the school had listen as such they were benefited as they were educated and able to learn more and how to overcome their problems. It impacted the society by giving importance to woman’s health and hygiene in order to prevent sickness and death. It help understand people that mensural hygiene is important and should be followed in order to prevent sickness. The campaign help people appreciate woman and girls in general.
I’ve learn many things form past experiences and form the current project, it helped me get a better understanding of how mensural hygiene should be followed as regular hygiene and should be considered normal, instead of being embarrassed a naturally occurring thing that is bound to happen to every single female. It helped me understand on how to help our females during their mensural cycle, and how we should take care of them.
