Menstrual hygiene training management in Uganda
Many girls are unaware of menstruation, by the time they experience their first period, many teachers feel ashamed talking about it at school with their pupils.The emotional stress it comes with puts these girls in a desperate state and therefore resort to desperate means of dealing with menstruation and the challenges it comes with. Training and equipping teachers and boys and girls with knowledge and skills was the only way to prevent these problems
We identified 8 primary schools and trained 02 female teachers and 2 male teachers from each school.
-They then trained pupils in their respective schools.
- Community needs a lot more sensitization about MHM and Sexual reproductive health.
-There is alot potential for scouting to impact communities positively and also prepare children for a better future.
-A we plan to execute a project there is need for sustainability plan for all projects.
