Menstrual Hygiene Day Celebration on May 28, 2019

On May 28, Babesa HSS joinned the world in observing Menstrual Hygiene Day because IT'S TIME FOR ACTION. The school health committee took the lead to advocate for the safe disposal and management of sanitary waste. Some of the activities carried out are: 1. Teachers and staff of Babesa HSS wore uniform dress code (black ghos for gents, and mathra kiras and red tegos for ladies) adorned with MH Day badges made by the school health committee. 2. In the morning assembly, the school health coordinator shared on the importance of observing this day. 3. Gentlemen of Babesa HSS distributed sanitary pads and disposal bags to each girl and woman of Babesa HSS. 4. Coordinated by Health Coordinators, health captains of classes XI and X were divided into three different groups for the Red Dot Campaign in the locality. Groups visited nearby households and IT park office to advocate on the importance of good menstrual hygiene and proper disposal of used sanitary pads. They even distributed disposal bags to public. #Itstimeforaction #MHDAY2019
