MAURITIUS AND MALAYSIA ARE BROTHERS
On July 21, 2018, the Scout Team from Mauritius has come to Malaysia for the purpose of running the Malaysia & Dubai Venture Belt 1st Flacq Scout Group. The program is to get the award for the Mauritius scouts who have participated in this program for 7 days in Malaysia. A total of 19 scout participants and 6 Scout leaders from Mauritius have been involved in the program. To further enhance this program, some Malaysian scout members are also involved in supporting this program. Comprised of 12 rovers scout, 9 volunteers from the Walkside by Rovs Project, and 6 scouts leaders.
Various interesting activities have been carried out throughout the program. Among them is, Visit to Batu Caves, visit to the High Commissioner Office of Mauritius, Visit to Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC), visit to Sunway Lagoon, join the bottle caps project, join the Mini Jamboree with cub scouts, scouts and senior scouts in Sri Hartamas secondary school, and International Night at the National Headquarters of Scouts Association of Malaysia.
Throughout the program, scouts from both countries have exchanged views and knowledge about their profiles. Many stories are shared by scouts from both countries. What is important is that they can identify each other as scouts. They also exchanged souvenirs as a reminder of their visit to Malaysia and symbolized the worldwide scouts brotherhood. With the end of the program, scouts have established a good network of relations between the two countries.
