Mangrove restoration
Peacock Rover crew was inspired to start a mangrove restoration project after witnessing firsthand how vital mangroves are to both the environment and local communities. During a visit to a creeks ,we saw areas where mangroves had been destroyed, fish populations were declining, and livelihoods were suffering. That experience made it clear how powerful these ecosystems are in protecting coastlines, supporting biodiversity, and even fighting climate change. We decided to start the project
The execution of a mangrove restoration project involves several steps, including site selection, assessment of environmental conditions, and community engagement.mangrove species are carefully planted in degraded coastal areas to restore natural growth. The project also includes monitoring growth, ensuring adequate tidal flow, and removing invasive species. Local communities are often involved in planting and maintenance, promoting sustainable stewardship of the restored areas.
