Local Clean-Up Drive As The Year's First Activity
The objective of this project was to promote a clean environment in our local barangay by cleaning the streets early in the morning.The project was done partnered with the local government unit.
While keeping the streets clean, we also made the people aware of the effects of littering in the environment and encouraged them to stop doing so.
The project was done in our local barangay partnered with the LGUs. We started by 6:00AM and cleaned 3 streets at a time till we finished by 11:00AM.
We achieved a much cleaner barangay and have educated scouts and some other citizens on the effects of littering to the environment.
I learned that despite people being taught that littering is bad, they would still do it nonetheless. I would also suggest to our adult leaders to increase the scale of the project next time for it to have a much greater impact.
