Litter Less Campaign Robin Hills Randburg

We as Meerkat scouts started a clean-up campaign towards the Litter Less Campaign initiative and have been cleaning up the public parks around our scout hall that is used by many people. We are also using it as part of our National Challenge 2023 Champions for Nature. We will be doing this as an ongoing campaign.
We recognised that the public parks around our scout hall in Robin Hills in the Randburg District in Gauteng, as it is close to us and we can keep up the challenge on an ongoing activity. We have joined the Cub Pack on a regular basis and will keep doing so. All who participate are given protective gloves and bin bags for the litter. We encourage the children to take part at every event and so instill the Litter Less ideas for them to carry on wherever they are.
As there are a lot of public members who use the park, plus dog training classes, picnics and just people relaxing, they will all benefit from this initiative. We have already had a lot of good comments regarding how clean we are keeping the parks.
We have learnt that by keeping the parks Litter Less we have an increase of people using them. Due to this initiative we have had a few new members join as we have been visible in the public eye.
