Light Buzzing SWA Voluntary Service
Light Buzzing consists of ten participants who are trying to initiate the idea of the use of solar energy in our society. This project held at Kampung Orang Asli Peta, Ulu Endau, Mersing, Johor Malaysia. Meanwhile, the society in the village has depending on a small amount of electric supply in their daily life especially at the night. Hence, this project helps local community who are need of light supply (the shortage of electricity supply). This project an expected to be more sustainable and beneficial to the community in the village because we use the natural source such as solar energy (sunlight) convert into electricity can be generating continuously lighting at night. Impact of project, the students are sensitivity and aware of the need of local environment, able to maximize supply of light in the village by using sunlight at night, engagement in volunteerism, collaboration, responsibility for planning, managing and implementing project toward sustainable and so on. This project also will able to initiate a sustainable project which can give good impacts and benefits to community, increase the safety among the villagers especially at night and to expose the importance of solar energy that can be applied the alternative ways to use the electricity without spending much cost. In fact, this project can be an aspiration to the students and other community for volunteerism programs and projects as development program toward sustainability in the furture. Lastly, we're really hope for the future of this project can be built and as role model in other rural areas that are have shortage of electricity which is can an access to light sources at night.
