Let's grow in Saxony-Anhalt

I was motivated to join the "Let's grow in Saxony-Anhalt" project to provide many children and young people access to scouting. As a passionate scout myself, I understand its positive impact. I also wanted to contribute to the growth efforts of the Scout Association, both locally and globally. Being part of this movement fills me with pride and excitement.

To launch new scout groups in Saxony-Anhalt, we connected with local youth organizations and city officials. These contacts aided our understanding of local dynamics and secured project support. In the next phase, we advertised to recruit volunteers for scout group formation. Offering trial sessions for children and informational evenings for adults, we actively engaged in public events to raise awareness and attract supporters.

During the project, I learned how important it is to network with local communities and build relationships to gain support for a project. I also learned how to effectively advertise and recruit volunteers to move an initiative forward. Organizing events and active public engagement were also important skills I developed during the project.
