On the 23rd of April scouts from Kiev city branch of the National Organization of Scouts of Ukraine joined the biggest cleaning of the country as part of the national campaign "Let's do it, Ukraine" – the part of worldwide ecological movement «Let’s Do It! World». It’s a civic-led mass movement that began in Estonia in 2008 when 50,000 people united together to clean up the entire country in just five hours. Since then, Let’s Do It! has spread this model—one country in one day—around the world. This year scouts carefully removed rubish from one of the Kiev squares, thus making a great contribution to the welfare of the inhabitants of the nearest houses, because most of them enjoy spending free time at these park. Cubscouts also actively participated in this cleaning, taking the example of the adults, so this event served as educative lesson for the kids and helped to develop the environmental awareness of both children and adults.
