Leader Trainer Course

A Leader Trainer (LT) Course took place on the 20th – 24th of September 2013, at Gilbanken Scout Centre, Gauteng Province. This course was offered to Assistant Leader Trainers (ALT). The aim of the course was to prepare experienced trainers for the work of a Leader Trainer as a course Director and leader of trainers. The course provided an opportunity for the sharing of experiences, exposure to advanced training methods, honing need assessment techniques. This course enables the organisation to enlarge its volunteer training teams in the different Provinces. The course offered a mix of group and individual tasks and challenges which include presentations, evaluations and assessments. The course took place at the most needed time to help with the RevIt process as more trainers are needed to ensure that enough adult leaders are trained to assist with the growing of youth numbers. The funding received was used to accommodate 7 participants coming from Northern Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga, North West and Limpopo. All 4 participants were happy for being given the chance to participate in this course.
